Dear Dandelion,
Common flower that grows,
Children pluck at your sight,
I myself must confess,
Indeed I once used to commit this crime,
Oh do forgive me of abusing your heavenly beauty
Dear Dandelion,
Common flower that grows,
Small and white,
You once granted me a wish,
With faith I presumed to believe,
Truth that one day I would indeed,
Be a queen and perhaps,
Sail the open sea
Dear Dandelion,
Common flower that grows,
Your tiny plumes sparkle in a flutter,
I begin to deeply ponder,
As they float in the air,
An angel’s song for everyone to hear
Dear Dandelion,
Common flower that grows,
Through the stormy nights,
To the bright summer days,
Unnoticed by myself,
Sadly left to die,
Oh do forgive me of not keeping you alive
Dear Dandelion,
Common flower that grows,
Oh do forgive me,
For I have mistaken you presence,
And true beauty
